Operation Christmas Magic
Making Christmas magical for those who need it most, one gift at a time.

What Is Operation Christmas Magic?
We believe Christmas should feel magical for everyone. But for children facing hardship, or for individuals spending the festive season alone in hospital far from home and family, it can feel like the loneliest time of year.

Operation Christmas Magic is our answer to that.

Every penny from The Fun Girls Club hosted events, every ticket sold and every donation received, goes directly into our Operation Christmas Magic fund, a dedicated pot used entirely to buy Christmas gifts for children and other individuals in need in the Burnley area.

No complexities. No loopholes. Everything leading to one objective.

Because nobody should feel forgotten at Christmas.
Our First Christmas Gift Drop
We want to be completely honest, and the truth is that we're only just getting started over at The Fun Girls Club HQ.

The Fun Girls Club launched in 2026, and our very first Christmas gift drop is planned for December 2027. Every event we host between now and then is building towards that moment. Every ticket you buy, every donation you make, every social media post you share, it all contributes to the pot.

We are doing this properly, from the ground up, aiming for full transparency every step of the way. And we want you to be part of it from the very beginning, so that when December 2027 comes and we walk into that hospital with arms full of gifts, you'll know that you helped make it happen.

Keep an eye on the tracker below and see it grow.

Raised so far
Operation Christmas Magic
Every penny goes directly to gifts for children, and individuals in hospital for Christmas*
Last updated: 12 June 2026
*This amount displayed reflects funds raised to date, minus any event running costs. We believe in full transparency, and a small proportion of funds raised may be allocated to cover the costs of running our events, ensuring we can continue to bring the community together. Everything remaining goes directly into Operation Christmas Magic.
How It Works
Operation Christmas Magic runs on a simple but carefully considered system:
We work with trusted local partner organisations (including food banks, school family liaison officers, health visitors, and social workers) to identify children and individuals who would most benefit from receiving a gift. Families are never asked to approach us directly. Everything goes through our referral partners to protect the privacy of those involved.

Each registered child or individual is represented by an Angel Tree tag, containing a first name or reference, their age, clothing and shoe size, and a few things they love. No full names or identifying information are included. We get just enough to make the gift feel personal and right for the person in question.Â

When December comes, our trustee and volunteer team will gather for our dedicated shopping day (tags in hand and one central charity account covering every purchase) where we go out and buy every single gift. It will be one of our favourite days of the year and we cannot wait to share it with you on social media.

Gifts for hospitalised children and individuals are delivered directly to the relevant hospital wards. Gifts for children and families in need are distributed via our referral partner organisations, always protecting the privacy of the families involved.

Â
Every pound raised and every penny spent is recorded and shared openly. You can track our progress right here on this page.*

To protect the dignity and privacy of the families and individuals we support, The Fun Girls Club does not accept self-referrals for Operation Christmas Magic.
