Operation Christmas Magic runs on community, and the most important part of that community is a network of trusted organisations who will help us to reach the people who need us most.

What is a Referral Partner

The Fun Girls Club does not accept self-referrals for Operation Christmas Magic.

Instead we work exclusively through trusted local organisations who already know the families and individuals who would benefit most, protecting the dignity and privacy of everyone involved.

A referral partner is any organisation working with vulnerable families, children in need, or isolated individuals in the Burnley area, who is in a position to identify people who would benefit from receiving a Christmas gift and refer them to us.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome referral partnerships with:

Food banks and food pantries
Schools and school family liaison officers
Health visitors and community midwives
Social workers and social care teams
Community centres and local charities
GP surgeries and NHS community teams
Hospital wards and patient support teams
Any organisation working with vulnerable families or isolated individuals in Burnley

How It Works

You Identify individuals or families

You're the experts on this front and we're happy for you to use your existing knowledge and relationship with the people you support. No additional assessment needed from you beyond your professional judgement.

Using our simple referral form*, sent us just the basic information we need to buy an appropriate gift. No sensitive personal details beyond a first name or reference, age, sizes, and a few interests where possible.

*To submit a referral please contact us at team@thefungirlsclub.co.uk and we will send you our secure referral form.

We buy the gifts, wrap them, and arrange delivery, whether directly to hospital wards or back through you if needed to protect the family's privacy.

Every partner organisation is acknowledged on our website as part of the Operation Christmas Magic network.

Our Promise to You

We will always:

Handle all referred information with complete confidentiality
Never share personal details beyond what is strictly necessary
Deliver gifts in a way that protects the dignity of the recipient
Keep you informed of timelines and any changes
Be honest if our capacity means we cannot fulfil all referrals in a given year

We will never:

Photograph or identify beneficiaries in any of our communications
Share personal information with third parties
Make any family or individual feel like a charity case
